Description: Golden honey in colour, presented lightly filtered, this year’s annual release of Mummers is Yellowbelly’s interpretation of the varied and wide reaching Belgian Special style. The soft sweet malt character of the Pilsner malt is given depth from a small amount of Munich malt and accentuated by the Belgian candi sugar. The Noble hop character is evident, but balanced in bitterness. The peppery, spicy nature of the yeast is complemented by the toasted coriander and grains of paradise. The gentle bitterness of the orange peel and heather tips help to balance the lingering sweet finish on the palate. Tastes more than a little like Christmas.
