Description: Alex’s Life is a special blend made in honor of our pal Alex Kidd (@dontdrinkbeers). Alex was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer recently and the collaborating brewers put our heads together on how we could make a benefit beer to raise money for Alex and his family. Alex is a huge fan and supporter of the Barleywine style, so we all decided to make a big blend in his honor. The Veil, Side Project, Other Half, Monkish, Trillium, and Evil Twin NYC all selected our oldest Barleywine aging in various Bourbon barrels from our respective barrel inventories and blended them for a one-of-a-kind offering. Ranging from 10-37 months and clocking in at 15.2%, Alex’s Life is an incredibly complex blend of English-style Barleywines aged in Bourbon barrels. Notes of sticky toffee, sweet dates, plump vanilla beans, clover honey, charred oak, moist tobacco and leather.
