Description: Erlton Street is a blend of two barrel-aged golden sours which we thought had some particularly interesting character. It showcases some of the flavour possibilities that mixed culture beers aged in oak can create, and the cool part is that our barrel cultures are still super young in the grand scheme of things! Pear and apple was barrel 0466's strength, with an underlying lemon acidity, and a perplexing rocket candy like finish. Strawberry aroma made it's way on to the notes sheet, what?! Barrel 0402 was oak forward with a doughy bread and a clean underlying acidity in it's early life. Later the culture added white grape and stone fruit character. It seemed like the perfect candidate to blend with.
