Description: Brewed with Milk Sugar & Cardamom | Conditioned on Mango Mango Lassi was brewed to celebrate the upcoming Diwali holiday, also known as the Festival of Lights, that takes place annually in India. Diwali’s root meaning is “rows of lighted lamps,” which are typically displayed outside of homes and businesses to usher in bright beginnings and to symbolize the triumph of light over darkness in the New Year ?. Mango Lassi was brewed with a base of pale barely malt layered with fluffy oats and wheat malts along with a touch of lactose for a soft, medium-full body and it’s characteristic “milkshake-like” mouthfeel. Towards end end of the boil we added a pinch of cracked, green, Indian cardamom and then loaded the whirlpool with juicy Azacca hops. Next we dry hopped this beer with a fruit-forward blend of Azacca, Citra, and Sabro hops to accentuate the exotic tropical mango aromas and flavors. Post fermentation, we conditioned this tasty milkshake IPA on a massive amount of delicious mango. Mango Lassi pours an electric, hazy, mango-orange hue into a glass and drinks with very low bitterness, a milkshake-like body, and a juicy, hop and fruit flavored finish. We get notes of mango lassi (a delicious creamy drink made with Indian mango, yogurt, milk, a little sugar, and a sprinkling of cardamom), bright citrus, and mango smoothie.
