Description: Schoppe Private Stock Heller Weizenbock is a pale version of the classic Weizenbock style. Though wheat bocks are usually reddish brown, our version is a deep golden color. It is brewed with Munich and wheat malts for a chewy, bready flavor, and hopped with German hops for a subtle, spicy finish. Flavors of banana and clove are contributed by the classic German wheat ale yeast. Ideally served at 50 – 55°. This beer is a collaboration with Mark Schoppe. Mark has been homebrewing for over twenty years. He has won hundreds of awards at competitions over the years. Highlights include winning the Ninkasi Award at the National Homebrewer’s Conference in 2012 and 2015, and winning the Lone Star Circuit Homebrewer of the Year in 2011, 2012 and 2014.
