Description: Okay, so Polly’s have thrown a curveball by releasing a Best Bitter last week, where on earth will they go next? Turbo-best, that’s where. A style that we’ve always looked at from afar with starry eyes, it caught us off guard when our very own Lally told us he’d already brewed a couple back in his Mad Hatter days. Fast tracking it into our brew plans as quickly as possible to take advantage of the slightly cooler temperatures of February and early March, the result is An Upfront Wither. An American style barleywine; we’ve taken inspiration from the OG Stateside brewers generously hopped this beer with Centennial to add a distinct grassy bitterness to pair off against the sweet dried fruit notes brought to the table by the malt bill. Best enjoyed (in our opinion anyway) in a big snifter glass in front of a fire, this beer is another push for us to really expand what we’re capable of as a brewery.
