Description: Local Arizona harvest Prickly Pear fruit was collected by hand, cleaned, peeled and juiced to create a deliciously sweet and lightly bitter complement to our American Style Wheat Beer. The base is predominantly pale ale malt with a significant white wheat proportion. This beer pours pink, almost red, and has a slightly pink white head of moderate retention. The aroma of the prickly pear fruit is dominant. The sweetness of the fruit is noticeable as well as the hops - Cascade, Zythos and Citra, but not an overwhelming quality of the beer. A light and refreshing beer with a clean and very dry finish. This beer is seasonal and brewed annually when the prickly pear fruit is at peak ripeness.
