Description: Biere de Garde Style Ale (Farmhouse style originally brewed in Northern France). We made ours with a blend of Bohemian Pilsner, Munich, and Abbey malt. Hopped with Santium hops to balance the sweetness. This winter brew is a deep amber color with a malty flavor, hints of fruit, and a slightly sour character. Brewed in June and aged for six months to smooth the alcohol. Ardelle Johnson (Brewer, Chris Johnson's grandmother) was a huge fan of the Christmas season. We brew different holiday beer each year named "Ardelle" and release it on December 1st, her birthday.
