Description: This is a deep amber beer with aromas and flavours of fruit, rich malt, cinnamon and ginger, exhibiting all the warming characteristics of the renowned Scottish fruit pudding. The dish itself, was made with dried fruit and spices. The “cloot” was the cloth, for which the mix was wrapped in, whilst being steamed. The dumpling was made to celebrate birthdays, weddings and the festive season, when trinkets and coins were dropped into the mixture. So, when you fancy a drop of Clootie, mind and pour carefully!
