Description: Mijmer - Barrel-aged wild beer with 115g/L black currant and fennel seed. Splashing fruits supported by a fennel seed body. Mijmer has been aging on the barrel for 27 months. In the nose you smell the fruitiness of the black currants and notes of vanilla, embracing the barrel. The black currants are picked at food forest De Nieuwe Hof and have macerated for 3 months in the beer. A subtle hint is added by the fennel seeds, which were roasted briefly. The seeds are harvested at de Ommuurde Tuin. Mijmer is a very complex beer while being very soft to the palette with only a smooth touch of sourness, even though its long barrel aging"
