Description: Moersleutel and Dois Corvos, two familiar names. Not just because both are family owned companies but the two breweries share many stories together. Between festivals, brewers moving countries, tap takeovers and collaborations there's a Dutch and Portuguese connection. It was long overdue their visit to Alkmaar, finally we're able to share the result of such visit. Together we engineered a West Coast IPA in a Triple format. Higher in alcohol, more robust and intensely hopped. Carefully calculated water profile to let the classic American hop varieties shine with the signature affirmative, sturdy bitterness. Hopped with Amarillo, Simcoe, Chinook and Centennial over a base of different pale grains, with a pinch of caramel malts. This beer takes you to a trip to classic West Coast IPA with bright grapefruit zest aroma, piney and resinous notes with a robust malty backbone to sustain the sturdy bitterness. This is a celebrational beer, celebration of friendship and international connection. Just like cellphones - beer; connecting people. Not for the faint of heart but it wouldn't be us if it would.
