Description: This batch of No Comply East Coast Double IPA is a homebrew recipe created by Alex Faris, one of our very own bartenders here at OSF. Here's how he describes this concoction: As an East Coast transplant, I always looked out west for most new beer ideas, as did most other East Coast brewers. When I moved to Vermont, I discovered a small group of nano breweries experimenting with a new interpretation of the IPA style. This beer does not comply with the standard West Coast IPA. It uses large amounts of Wheat and Rolled and Flaked Oats, which gives the beer its thicker, cloudy appearance. Most of the hops were added late in the boil and after fermentation, which gives the beer more hop flavor and aroma without much bitterness. So ask yourself... do you want to comply? Special Techniques: Dry-Hopped with Centennial, Amarillo, Citra, Idaho 7 Malts: TF&Sons; Pearl Pale, Wheat, Rolled Oats, CaraPils, Acidulated, Honey Malt, Melanoidin Hops: Simcoe, Nugget, Amarillo, Centennial OG: 1.074 TG: 1.011 ABV: 8.10 IBU: 90 SRM: 8
