Description: Rye Whiskey Barrel-aged Imperial Stout Brewed with a variety of specialty malts, columbus hops, & brown sugar. Aged 3.5 months in fresh rye whiskey barrels with cacao nibs. Brewed on April 1st, 2020. The river Kokytus is a cold & dismal place in Dante's Inferno. It's a treacherous body of water & ice that surrounds Hades & has trapped thousands of souls. At Martin house, Kokytus is our intense barrel-aged imperial stout with cacao nibs. This 2020 version clocks in at 14%. We aged this brew for 3.5 months in rye whiskey barrels. To balance out the aggressive barrel flavor, cacao nibs were added. This beer is not to be taken lightly. Its said that the river is the main resting place for traitors & wrongdoers.
