Description: Before advances in malting technology, all beers were slightly smoky from the use of direct fire to dry the malt, and the name Rauchbier literally means Smoke Beer. This smoked amber lager was brewed by replacing 25% of the grist of a Märzen recipe with Beechwood smoked malt. To add extra intrigue, we also added maple & bacon infused sugar. The result is a toasty malt backbone with pleasantly light smoke & bacon flavors and a syrup like aroma. Try it with some BBQ!
