Description: One of the two beers that launched the Holgate Brewhouse in 1999, this classic English ESB gives a nod to Paul Holgate’s Lancashire heritage and has been a staple beer at the Holgate Pub and cellar door. Brewed with English crystal and roast malts this ESB shows a classic copper-red colouring, and a traditional biscuity malt flavour with hints of caramel and toffee. An abundance of East Kent Goldings hops late in the boil gives this ale the classic English profile of earthy and spicy hop aroma and flavour to balance the delicious malt backbone.
