Description: We sourced the cucumbers from our local puzzle maker and loyal patron for the winner of our Sweethearts Revenge Homebrew competition. With an array of beers to choose from across a plethora of styles, our hearts took us to the fruit beer category where a spirited discussion on whether a cucumber was a fruit or a veggie took place to see if this beer was eligible to move on. (Cucumber is a fruit BTW). Loveland local, Mark Boelman came up with this Pro-Am winning recipe which we scaled up and brewed for summer. The cucumber provides a unique freshness that starts up front with the nose and continues with each sip from the time it hits your lips to the tart wheat finish. Raise your glass and prost to this twist on an authentic German style.
