Description: FogHorn’s Pumpkin Ale is basically pumpkin pie in a glass. Over 70kg of fresh Jap pumpkin, lovingly peeled, chopped and dry roasted by our Apprentice Chef Josh (he loves his job!), is then mashed while hot and added to the grain at the start of the brewday. The pumpkin adds colour, flavour and aroma to the brew but it also adds some fermentable sugars and body as well - it really is an integral part of the beer. Rounding out the flavours are the best British caramel malts and classic pumpkin pie spices - Cinnamon, Nutmeg and All Spice. It all comes together in a sweet and savoury beer that is unlike anything else on our beer list. Even if (like our brewer Shawn) you hate pumpkin give it a try - it’s beer and dessert all in one.
