Description: 2017 harvest organic elephant heart plums. These Elephant Heart plums are as intense and blood red. This beer was made using a fairly heavy fruiting rate for Floodland beers, I thought the base beer would hold up to it, and the fruit was really unique and and it seemed fitting to showcase that. This beer is one that I would point to in order to illustrate what happens when you use unique local fruit instead of puree (or large lots of underripe commercial fruit, or whatever other bullshit). This beer has a classic plum earthiness to it, and the base beer is very hoppy which enhances that. Despite the hoppiness it has an assertive acidity, lots of color, and evoles as it warms in the glass and opens up.
