Description: The year is 1994, another Saturday night not getting invited out, just sitting on the couch watching the same cheesy rollerblading movie on HBO that seems to be on every damn day. Fast forward 23 years, still awkward, still not invited out, and still watching that same movie... and then it all changed. We got invited to Rhinegeist's Rare Beer Fest in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was time for our beer to stow away the surfboard and board the flight to the Midwest. That beer is Pepe The Shark, a Double IPA brewed to be big enough to hold up to its trip out east with gobs of Citra hops thrown in. To complement the huge orange and citrus juice notes from the Citra, we added in some Idaho7 hops, which are like the chili to Citra's spaghetti, simply a flawless pairing. This oversized and super aromatic citrus punch of a Double IPA is more dangerous than your first hockey match and as exhilarating as a no holds barred rollerblading race down Devil's Backbone. I tell you no lie, my friends; it's a consciousness raiser. Hops: Citra, Idaho7
