Description: Plum Smuggler is a 10.5% Imperial Stout with smoked plums. While it is a powerful roasty stout, it also raises a new layer of complexity with the dried fruit and smokiness flavors. One of our brewers spent his holidays at home in Poland and brought back traditional smoked plums that we added to a pilot version of this beer. Plum Smuggler features a very dark tone by the use of several types of roasted malted barley. Some of it offered caramel flavors, while other contributed with roasted coffee and chocolate-like notes. With the addition of plums, this beer gained some sweetness but also very intense and unique spiciness and smokiness.
