Description: Continuing our series exploring wild and sour fermentation, we are proud to release Woodland Critters No.2, a barrel-aged wild ale. The second offering in this series spent nearly a year and a half in the barrel. During that time the critters in the barrel, in this case Brettanomyces, feasted and worked their magic helping to create a special beer with a rich malt body, deep mahogany color, and fruity aromas of sour cherries and plum. Oak-derived vanilla notes complement the hints of caramel on the palate. The finish is dry, smooth, and ever so satisfying.
