Description: The French missionary Father Jacques Marquette and French Canadian explorer Louis Joliet were the first non native Americans to explore and map the Mississippi river. In a similar fashion to their adventure, we decided to explore an older method of crafting beer with a new twist. We began our journey by aging our French style St. Etienne Biere de Garde in our 30bbl American oak foeder. The lactobacillus in the oak imparted a gentle tartness we found would blend perfectly with strawberry, black pepper, and orange peel. The resulting beer has a delicate beauty on the surface and a body with enough strength to explore a new world. Raise a glass of this special beer and join us on our journey. Cheers!
