Description: This beer is a result of our brewer Paul’s trip to Melbourne to see one of our hop suppliers – Ellerslie’s hop farm. While on site Paul got to see how the hops get processed and get amongst the hop vines on the farm. Words can’t describe the aroma he experienced, getting to pick fresh cones of the vine and smashing them into his hands. Quote, unquote he was like a kid in the candy store. The hop we were most interested in was a new variety from them called ‘Melba’. It has been the new aroma hop in our Draught for the last couple of batches. We are happy with the trials and will continue to use it moving forward. It was Paul’s job to assess this year’s crop and give it our tick of approval, this beer is a testament to that.
