Description: Collaboration with Pro Approved bat maker, Phoenix Bats of Ohio. (Bats used in the making of this beer will be auctioned off and all proceeds donated to a local charity, TBD with each production). Drenched in fire, the ash, birch and maple spires plunge into the young beer of rye, two row and bitter hops. Hissing and popping, blazing with fierce flames they are succumbed and fall to the bottom, down...down...down, to silence. For 14 days they lay still, quiet, lifeless... Then, as if from a dream, the wood having given up there smoke, their resins, esters and sweet tannins, arise Ciclops Cyderi/Phoenix Bats. What is left in their wake is a sweet, smokey, malty beer call Phoenix Rysing. One dares to wonder how such a things can happen, fire harnessed and tamed by man?
