Description: Our Farmhouse ale brewed with dandelions. Rustic™ I am in love with this beer. This is Funky Blender with dandelion flowers to put it simply. But it is so much more. I asked my good friend who works for Aspen Valley Land Trust (local open space conservancy) if he knew of any farms that have lots of dandelions and treat their land the right way. He knew just the place in Carbondale, 10 minutes outside of Glenwood. As the boys were brewing Funky Blender, he and I were picking as many dandelions as we could. We thought both of us together could pick 10's of pounds, enough for a whole brew's worth. But dandelions are tiny as we all know. So we got enough for a half batch with a small usage rate. I've only ever tasted a couple beers with dandelions, so I wanted to go easy on them for this first try since i've never sued them before. This beer is rustic, I don't use that word a lot. It's completely different from our house farmhouse ales and is worthy of a taste by all.
