Description: A limited release beer as 400 liters was aged for 8 months in oak barrels. These barrels formally held red wine but have become barrel neutral and inoculated with Brettanomyces bruxellensis. A golden ale originating from the farmhouse breweries of Northwest Belgium. This beer is complex with notes of fruitiness from the lemon peel added during the wort boil. Rose hips, hawthorn, ginger sugar and organic green peppercorns are also added in the brewhouse to give this beer a pleasant botanical aroma and flavor. The Brett. has nearly fermented out all sugars to provide some tartness along with some oak barrel notes. Very refreshing!
