Description: Back in early 2017, we decided to tinker with Rheinard de Vos, a sour red ale initially brewed in collaboration with Garrett Oliver, of Brooklyn Brewery, and Peter Bouckaert, then of New Belgium Brewing Company. For this beer, we called on another beverage luminary: our friend Sean Larkin, of Larkin Wines in Napa Valley, California, who provided us freshly emptied Cabernet Franc barrels. 14 months later, Mural was born. Mural explodes out of the glass with a robust aromatic array of black cherry, mocha, plum and blackberry underscored by herbal notes and a hint of earth. The palate is robust and juicy, with layers of vanilla, oak and vibrant, complex acidity, all followed by a long, bold finish.
