More romantic and tastier than ever, Promise to Sophia pays homage to the tragic yet romantic tale of Sophia Cameron and her husband’s pledge should she fall victim to the hardships of the Cariboo gold rush. John Angus “Cariboo” Cameron was crafty in business, but not so lucky in love. Shattered by the death of his beloved wife, he vowed to carry out Sophia’s last wish: to be buried at home in Ontario. Three caskets, two burials, and four funerals later, John made good on his promise. Particularly suitable for cellaring.
