Description: Light straw with golden hues. A bouquet of funky fruit exudes from the glass, with hints of pineapple and clover honey. Notes of jam and orchard fruits, a light tartness, and firm bitterness. Very dry, lingering finish. HISTORY In the fall of 2015, we tucked away some of our Gobsmacked IPA (a Burton-style IPA, originally brewed for our 3000th batch), to age as it might have in a bygone era. We inoculated the beer with brettanomyces “originally isolated from strong English stock beer, in the early 20th century” and aged the beer on white oak. The resulting beer is a nod to where beers have been, and where they are going, and taking note of the parallels between.
