Description: We've been connected to the Rhinos at Blank Park Zoo ever since they took a liking to one of our kegs that we donated as a toy. We were so enamored of them that we've named beers after most members of their family. This Rye Double IPA is named for Ayana, whose name means “Beautiful Flower” in Swahili. She has given bloom to a whole new generation of the endangered Eastern Black Rhino. It is incredibly rare for her species to give birth in human care let alone have a female calf, but Ayana has doubled down and birthed two! With beautiful floral and orange notes playing along a hefty biscuity backbone with a touch of rye spiciness, we think this combination perfectly reflects Ayana's balance of raw strength and nurturing ways. So join us in raising a pint: To the mother of Rhinos!
