Description: Winner of Europrean Beer Star Bronze Medal 2014. Strong Scotch Ale is a strong ale that was traditionally brewed in Edinburgh in the 19th century. This is a variant of the British Pale ales which were brewed at the time, and corresponds to an English strong ale or Barley wine. However, the name is better known in Scotland as a Wee Heavy. This strong Scottish ale has 7 different carefully selected dark malts and a low content of bitter hops that highlight malt sweetness, complexity and give a true beer experience from the Scottish Highlands. Fermented at a low temperature which suppress the yeast flavors into the background to flavor the malt complexity. Should be served at 10-12°C, (50-54°F) and slowly warmed up in the glass to release more aroma substances releases. A jötnar called Mundilfare had two beautiful children.
