Alternating Current | Heretic Brewing Company
ABV: 15.1%
IBU: 40
Style: Stout - American Imperial / Double
Actively Produced
Description: I challenged everyone on the brewing team at Heretic Brewing Company to come up with a big beer recipe, this was Andrew Conlon's. It's pricey, because of what went into brewing it. It took nearly two years to make from brew day to release, spending over a year in fresh dumped 10 year old Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. We use single-source, locally roasted First Crack Coffee and Madagascar vanilla beans. The end result is a 15.1% smooth, luscious, complex imperial stout. The name comes from Andrew's initials, but also the alternating effect of coffee versus alcohol.
