Description: Brewed in 2006, 2011, 2014 & now again in 2018, Colossus is known for its staggering ABV that has ranged from 17.3 to 21% This astounding alcohol content is achieved through fermentation alone; no alcohol is introduced at packaging nor is it distilled. Multiple grains are used in conjunction with three different yeast strains to produce a beer that simply defies classification… & most laws of nature. With a full body and a perceptively sweet flavor profile accented by notes of apple, as well as cinnamon sticks, orange peel and coriander which are added during the boil, it has a surprisingly tame alcohol presence on the palate that belies its staggering ABV.
