Description: Malt: Golden Promise, Vienna, Munich Hops: North American Nose: Chocolate , Subtle Chilli Palate: Chocolate, Spice, Dark Malt We made a version of this awesome beer around this time last year, and this year we brought it back bigger and better than ever. Ancho Dark Lager is a 5.1% cold fermented lager made with a blend of dark malt, showcasing the mild and flavourful Ancho chilli pepper. To recap, we used the IPA style to showcase jalapeno in Dios Mio, Imperial Stout for Chipotle and Mulato in Mexicake, and now a dark lager for Ancho chillies. We wanted to do three totally different styles of beer, and we wanted to put a twist on those styles at the same time, so Ancho Dark Lager is the perfect example of this approach.
