Description: Old Sour Cherry Porter was not a beer that was planned, but one that has become a staple at Rivertown. This delicious disaster was born when it became apparent that the original intentions of brewing a Bourbon Barrel Aged Porter became compromised by wild yeasts and bacterias. Instead of dumping the barrel, we added pounds of fresh, tart, Northern Michigan cherries and Old Sour Cherry was born. A velvety, full bodied, complex blend of roasted chocolate malt and tart cherry, this is a beer that can be drank fresh or is capable of developing beautifully in the bottle for years to come. Malt: 2-Row, Chocolate, Abbey, Dark Crystal, Roasted Barley Hops: Bravo ABV: 7.9% IBU: 35 SRM: 38 Speciality: Tart Cherries Available When Ready, typically around January
