Description: Born in America but with a soul recalling a distant English ancestry, Tanglefoot is one of the flagship India Pale Ales from the Royal Docks Brewing Company. Tanglefoot is an American IPA in that it is a decidedly hoppier cousin to the historical British beers from which the style’s name is borrowed. The beer features a piney and resinous nose with a pleasant, rounded bitterness from healthy doses of American Nugget, Cascade and Mosaic hops. Tanglefoot reveals its storied English heritage as it offsets the massive hop charge with a full bodied palate and sturdy malt backbone thanks to the British-grown, floor-malted Maris Otter and Harrington barley; prized throughout the world for their superior flavour and aromatics. The Tanglefoot Legend: The 12th Century poet and priest, La3amon was the first to chronicle the Arturian tradition. He is also the source of the legend of Pendragon’s ales.
